Job Description

As a production engineer, you will play a key role in managing the production environment for complex investment management platforms and applications. This position is based in our office and involves overseeing the operation, monitoring, and integrity of the technology platform.

You will be responsible for providing production management for systems used by Front Office, Operations, and Client teams, as well as oversight for the PGIM Fixed Income technology batch environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production environment to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members on production-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technology role preferably in software development and/or application support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with database management and query writing using SQL (MS SQL preferred).
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system and experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly in fast-paced environments.
Additional Requirements:
  • Cloud computing experience with AWS and/or Azure.
  • Software development skills to perform code changes for bug fixes or automation tasks.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to prioritize tasks effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent documentation skills with ability to create clear and concise technical documents.
