About the Role

Applicants will join a professional team of Statisticians/Data Analysts working on statistical production from data collection and processing to dissemination.

The role involves a wide range of functions including producing official statistics using analytical techniques, identifying trends in complex datasets, and acquiring data from primary or secondary sources.

Statisticians/Data Analysts may also lead teams involved in statistical production and work with users of statistics to determine their needs.

In this role, you will provide policy makers with evidence and insights to inform policy decisions on topics such as employment, social conditions, economy, and environment.

You will extract key messages from single or multiple data sources and present them to relevant audiences.

This position requires strong analytical skills, creativity, and ability to think critically about improving existing processes and outputs.

Key responsibilities include managing data collection and processing systems, implementing data quality strategies, and representing the organisation in formal settings.

You will prepare reports and recommendations for senior management, demonstrating awareness of strategic issues relating to official statistics.
