The position of Pre-Construction Lead is pivotal in the success of design & build projects. The successful candidate will drive the pre-construction stage forward with precision and expertise.

  • Lead the project team through the pre-construction phase, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results that meet client expectations.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Oversee the development of project designs, working closely with the Design Team to address technical issues and optimize value engineering opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration between departments, facilitating efficient information exchange and minimizing roadblocks.
  • Ensure seamless handover from pre-construction to construction phases, guaranteeing a successful project outcome.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represent the company as the primary point of contact during the pre-construction phase, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with the design managers to develop project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain industry standards, conducting regular QAQC checks on project deliverables.
  • Manage procurement schedules, tracking progress and addressing any program-related concerns to avoid delays.
  • Support the development of project programmes and schedules, working closely with planners to ensure accuracy and detail.
  • Elevate unresolved issues promptly, preventing cost or programme impacts on project timelines.
  • Chair relevant design coordination meetings, promoting effective communication and problem-solving among team members.
  • Participate in tender proposal preparation, protecting company contractual positions and interests.
  • Advocate for lean working practices, striving for efficiency improvements and maximizing process optimization.
Requirements
  • Engineering or Architectural qualification.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective people management and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, specifically Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
