Safety and Compliance Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide operational teams with hands-on safety guidance, process development, and compliance support.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the go-to HSE advisor across the business, supporting management, site teams, subcontractors, and external partners in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Develop strong relationships across departments to embed a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and implement safe systems of work, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Conduct regular inspections of sites, workshops, and equipment to ensure compliance and maintain records.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and developing corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with departmental teams to understand adjacent roles and their impact on health and safety functions.
- Maintain professional and legal compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and management systems.

Requirements:- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years' experience in a health & safety role, ideally within construction, engineering, or M&E environments.
- Strong knowledge of incident management, inspections, audits, and lifting operations.
- Ability to apply practical safety solutions across varied working environments and teams.
