Job Title: Land Acquisition Professional

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our land acquisition efforts for renewable energy projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing third-party land acquisitions through negotiation with landowners, managing complex agreements, and representing the company in leading negotiations.

  1. Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies for large-scale development and energy infrastructure projects.
  2. Manage and maintain comprehensive knowledge of complex agreements, including options, leases, wayleaves, and easements.
  3. Represent the company in high-stakes negotiations with landowners to secure necessary agreements.
  4. Nurture and maintain positive relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, land managers, and other stakeholders who own and manage land.
  5. Meticulously record discussions, identifying key issues and proactively seeking resolution.
  6. Collaborate with in-house and external lawyers, project managers, and consultants as required to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Honours Degree in Land Management, Agriculture, Business, or equivalent, along with 6 years of professional work experience from an agriculture, forestry, property, or project management background.

  1. Familiarity with Irish Property Law and knowledge of relevant documentation.
  2. Experience of renewable energy projects and commercial understanding of business needs.
  3. Sound knowledge of sustainable land management practices and strong stakeholder management skills.
  4. Proven track record of successfully negotiating and concluding agreements with landowners.
  5. Strong understanding of Land Acquisition processes, compensation, and valuation principles.
