Motor Vehicle Professional

The role of the Motor Vehicle Tutor is to provide high-quality training and assessment in Motor Vehicle studies. The post-holder will be responsible for devising and implementing vocational training programmes, ensuring that they contain an effective mix of theoretical and practical learning.
The successful candidate will work closely with sectoral representatives to develop training programmes and ensure new developments are incorporated into the training. They will also assist in the recruitment of students and co-operate with the Placement Team to secure quality placements for students.
Key responsibilities include delivering training programmes using a range of methods, both face-to-face and remote learning delivery. The post-holder will create online course materials and enhance student learning experiences using modern online education technologies.
Other duties include ensuring programme and student records are processed and maintained in accordance with company policies and contractual guidelines. The post-holder will also facilitate visits from sectorial representatives and external verifiers.
Overall, the Motor Vehicle Tutor plays a critical role in ensuring that students receive high-quality training and support to achieve their goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum Level 3 qualification or above in Motor Vehicle
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a mechanic in the Motor Vehicle Industry
- Current driving license and access to own vehicle
- Desirable Criteria: Previous experience of training and assessing Motor Vehicle studies in a Further Education setting and/or Training Organisation
The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary package discussed at interview, private healthcare, flexible working arrangements, and 38 days annual leave (runs January to December). Other benefits include company pension scheme, death in service benefit, health & wellbeing activities, and full occupational sick pay.
OthersThe post-holder should be absent from the training area on an absolute minimum of occasions and then only on company business and with the express approval, in advance, of Senior Management. This does not detract from the Motor Vehicle Tutor's employment rights.
