Software Quality Assurance Manager

As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in our software development quality assurance process. You will provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to the QA team members.

  • Oversee daily activities of the QA team to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Assist in onboarding new QA team members and conduct training sessions.
  • Act as a liaison between the QA team and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure QA tasks are properly prioritized, assigned, and completed within sprint timelines.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to represent QA activities.
  • Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform hands-on manual or automated testing (functional, regression, integration, and UAT).
  • Identify testing gaps and ensure complete coverage of requirements.
  • Monitor and manage defect lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Generate and share testing progress, quality metrics, and defect reports with stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure high product quality.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years team leadership experience in a QA environment, preferably leading small to medium-sized teams.
  • Strong hands-on testing experience (manual or automated).
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments, coordinating QA efforts with Scrum teams.
  • Proficiency with testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting languages desirable.
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor QA team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting progress, defects, and risks.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
