Privileged Access Management Expert


About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Privileged Access Management (PAM) expert to join our team. As a PAM specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining strong PAM controls to reduce risk and protect sensitive data.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CyberArk PAM solutions and a strong understanding of PAM concepts, identity and access management, and security best practices.


This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with technology and has a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends.


Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain PAM controls to reduce risk and protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with principal engineers to integrate applications with the PAM tool and extend its capabilities.
  • Work directly with users as the front line of Privileged Access.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to scope requirements and capabilities for PAM beyond out-of-the-box features.
  • Support Principal Engineers in identifying opportunities to enhance PAM capabilities and contribute to process improvements.
  • Provide training to end-users, admins, and DevOps on CyberArk functionality and capabilities.
  • Leverage knowledge of Privileged Access to maintain a clean and compliant environment.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting for the PAM tool and privileged access.
  • Help define, identify, and inventory privileged access within the environment and detect exceptions to standards through automated reporting solutions.
  • Make risk-based, data-driven decisions to achieve prioritized outcomes in alignment with PAM standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience as a Privileged Access Management practitioner, ideally with CyberArk (enterprise vault), with a track record of configuring and maintaining the solution.
  • CyberArk Defender Certification.
  • Proficient using CyberArk AAM.
  • Strong understanding of PAM concepts, identity and access management, and security best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Active Directory.
  • Conjur Fundamentals certifications.
  • Experience administering secrets and key management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Keyfactor, and Conjur.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies: Directories (LDAP, Windows AD, Azure AD, Okta), Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Unix including AIX and Solaris), Databases (Oracle, SQL, Postgres), Mainframes (RACF, z/OS), Network Protocols.
  • Familiarity with MFA and certificates (a plus).
