Job Title: Project Cost Controller

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill this key role. This position will involve close collaboration with management and accounts teams to ensure accurate cost management throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify labour, material, and specialist requirements.
  • Prepare enquiry documents, source and obtain material and subcontractor quotations including final negotiations and orders.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on a regular basis to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
  • Complete monthly sub contractor valuations through to final account.
  • Measure works as per contract specific schedule of rates.
  • Provide accurate and robust monthly reports for management and client progress meetings.
Requirements:
  • Honours degree in quantity surveying / construction management or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years' experience in estimating / quantity surveying role within a main contracting organisation.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including outlook, word, excel and project.
