Our client is seeking a Project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join their civil project in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, supporting and advising project managers and other relevant personnel on the setting up, implementation and continuous maintenance of HSE systems and standards on site.
The role requires a thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, as well as knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. The ideal candidate will have a level 7 qualification in health and safety, at least three years' experience in project HSE management and a strong ability to deliver internal health and safety management courses.
Key responsibilities include promoting safe working practices, ensuring the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on site, conducting regular site HSE inspections and reporting back findings to relevant personnel, and maintaining clear records to comply with company internal and external audit standards.
- Develop and implement HSE plans and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to employees on HSE policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
