Actuarial Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. As part of this role, you will be responsible for performing solvency capital calculations and subsequent reporting requirements for several European based captive insurance companies. Your expertise in actuarial consulting services, including Solvency II consulting, will be invaluable to our business.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, with experience in Excel and other analytical tools. You will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively. Additionally, you will have a proactive attitude, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform solvency capital calculations and subsequent reporting requirements for several European based captive insurance companies.
- Provide expert actuarial consulting services, including Solvency II consulting.
- Collaborate with fellow actuaries and accountants to provide high-quality solutions to clients.

Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of Solvency II and experience in completing regulatory returns.
  • Experience in calculating Solvency Capital Requirements (SCR) for general insurance companies, utilising the standard formula.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools, with the ability to develop and maintain complex models.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Part-qualified actuary, with expectation to sit the general insurance specialist exams (SA3, SP7 and SP8).
- Experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs) and National Specific Templates (NSTs) for multiple different insurance companies.
