Digital Transformation Leader

Job Description

As a Digital Transformation Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative software solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth. Your role will involve managing a distributed team of skilled engineers and collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in developing high-quality software, working under tight deadlines, and possessing a continuous improvement mindset. Experience in the travel or retail industry is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate, document, design, implement, and test large features.
  • Participate in technical and business discussions internally and externally.
  • Understand the business drivers behind each feature.
  • Mentor, motivate, and train developers within your team.
  • Manage the translation of requirements into design and take ownership of documentation for project deliveries.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software industry experience with proficiency in Java and Web Services.
  • 2+ years managing a Software Engineering team, ideally within a fast-paced, product-based company.
  • Solid experience in designing and developing highly available, distributed, and scalable applications.
Additional advantageous experience:
  • Understanding of Agile principles with experience leading Scrum/Kanban teams.
  • Webservice technologies: REST, SOAP.
  • Development tools: GIT, Gradle, Ant, Jenkins, Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Databases: Oracle or MongoDB.
  • Distributed technologies: Spring, J2EE, Memcached.
  • Test automation frameworks: BDD, TestNG.
  • Practical experience with DevOps concepts: CI/CD, ChatOps, etc.
