Job Title:

Electricity Market Operations Professional

About the Role:
  • Maintain awareness of key timelines related to electricity market activities.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and market-related documentation, auction submissions, and tender responses to ensure company objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Timely Submission of Regulatory Documents: Prepare and submit regulatory documents, applications, auction submissions, and tender responses within stipulated timelines.
  2. Market Operations Coordination: Coordinate with commercial and field operations teams to engage clients, install, commission, and test equipment in line with market timelines and volume commitments.
  3. Compliance Management: Manage registration, de-registration, and modifications to electricity market units as required by relevant regulations.
  4. Pre-Testing and Testing: Prepare and submit pre-testing documentation and execute relevant compliance testing according to system/market operator requirements.
  5. Test Report Submission: Prepare and submit test reports to system/market operators and other stakeholders as needed.
  6. Liaison and Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain good working relationships and handle day-to-day queries from regulators and system operators.
  7. Representative Functions: Represent the business at various forums related to team functions at domestic and international levels.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the electricity industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.
  • Able to work independently with high personal motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills for summarizing complex material to senior management and the wider business.
  • Good understanding of policy and regulatory matters pertaining to the Irish electricity market.
