Senior Environmental Consultant Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Environment team and work alongside engineers, environmental scientists, and other staff on infrastructure projects in Ireland.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide variety of projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high technical standards.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, regulators, sub-contractors, and internal disciplines.
  • Prepare proposals and input into bids for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Lead project teams and provide technical support and mentoring to junior members of the environmental team.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in a relevant science or environmental engineering subject (e.g. environmental science, sustainability, air and climate, noise, geology, hydrogeology).
  • Masters qualified in a relevant specialism preferred, but not essential.
  • Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment, specifically in EIAR and non-statutory environmental reports.
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of planning and environmental legislation, and technical guidance and industry standards / best practice.
  • Proven track record in technical report writing and ability to complete technical reports to required standards.
  • Proven track record in project management of major environmental projects and development of bids.
  • Experience in sustainability and carbon management for projects preferred.
  • Ability to provide technical support and mentoring as part of a team.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects both onshore and offshore.
