Job Title: Night Duty Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Night Duty Manager for our client, a busy 4-star hotel in Limerick.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and dependable hospitality professional to take full responsibility for hotel operations during the night shift.

Reporting Directly: Senior Management

The Night Duty Manager will oversee all departments, ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, and maintain the highest standards of service throughout the night.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of hotel operations during the night, acting as the senior manager on duty.
  • Supervision and support of front desk and night audit operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and guest records.
  • Management of guest arrivals, departures, late check-ins, and special requests with professionalism and warmth.
  • Conduct regular property walks to ensure security, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Handling and resolving guest complaints or incidents promptly, escalating where necessary.
  • Coordination with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams to address overnight operational needs.
  • Completion and verification of night audit reports, reconciling daily transactions and preparing handovers for morning management.
  • Monitoring staff performance, providing guidance, and ensuring all night shift team members adhere to hotel policies and SOPs.
  • Taking charge in any emergency situation, including fire alarms, evacuations, or first aid incidents.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Night Manager or Night Supervisor in a hotel environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Hotsoft (or similar property management system).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy in reporting, and a keen eye for detail.
