Job Overview

Professionally Qualified Social Work Team Leader

This is an exciting opportunity for a team leader to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a combination of intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • The team leader will provide quality evidence-based service in line with family-centred practice and Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles. The team leader will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and will also provide clinical supervision to social workers on the team.
  • There will be opportunities for training, and regular clinical supervision is provided.
Location Details

This permanent post is assigned to the Coolock Children's Disability Network Team, located in a Primary Care office.

Essential Criteria
  • Degree or Master's in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW)
  • Full registration with CORU
  • 5 years' post-qualification experience with expert assessment, clinical and reflective skills to meet the needs of the children and families supported by the CDNT
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred, community-based services
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision to basic-grade social workers and/or students
  • Excellent communication, time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with children with disabilities/complex needs or their families
