Job Title: Team Leader Social Work

KCR is recruiting a team leader for social work services that provide fostering and supported lodging to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all referrals for the organization, proactively sourcing pathways to achieve placements by building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues, foster carers and other stakeholders, and be confident communicating with professionals at all levels.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders such as Tusla, at various levels, through a business development approach.
  • Manage the placement of children/young people by following childcare legislation and regulations, child protection procedures, and the requirements of the Children's First Act.
  • Provide strong leadership through effective management and supervision of all referrals, build positive relationships with children, young people, and families.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognised third-level qualification in Social Work (or similar) within the Children’s Services sector.
  • At least three year’s postgraduate experience of working directly with children, young people, and families, in a busy environment with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes and results.
  • Valid Garda Clearance and valid Overseas Clearance if you have lived abroad for more than 6 months.
  • Full driver’s license with full eligibility to drive in Ireland and access to own vehicle, as travel will be required for this post.
