Job Title

A highly skilled Senior Social Worker is required to lead and develop our psychosocial care service.

About the Role

This senior role offers the opportunity to shape the future of care in a progressive hospice, contributing directly to our mission of supporting individuals and families living with life-limiting illness. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of social workers across various units and services, collaborating closely with the wider interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the social work team, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered.
  • Drive innovation, service development, and quality improvement in psychosocial care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Lead and develop the social work service, delivering best practice and continuous professional development.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW) or equivalent, and registration with CORU.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Social Work.
  • Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating across clinical and non-clinical disciplines to support holistic care.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in social work, knowledge, skills, and practice.
Benefits

We offer a permanent contract and 35 hours per week. We are a Section 38 Agency.
