Role Overview
- A Mechanical Engineer is required to join our team.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 8 qualification in Mechanical, Precision, or Manufacturing Engineering and 3+ years' experience in an engineering role (account management or production-focused).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:- Engaging with customers daily, interpreting technical drawings for small and large projects.
- Providing cost-effective engineering solutions, advising customers on design modifications to suit manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Pricing and executing customer orders, ensuring all production drawings are correct and aligned with SOPs.
- Programming CNC machines using 2D or 3D machine-specific software to optimise production efficiency.
- Producing job sheets, bend drawings, and process flows, and planning machine schedules.
- Troubleshooting daily production issues and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Gathering KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with internal teams from purchase order to shipment to ensure smooth workflow.
