Conference & Banqueting Head Porter Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Conference & Banqueting Head Porter to join our team in Dublin, Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy hotel environment and strong communication skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring smooth event setup, operation, and breakdown in line with guest expectations and hotel standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the setup, breakdown, and resetting of conference and banqueting rooms according to function sheets and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Events and Food and Beverage teams to ensure event spaces are prepared and presented to a high standard.
  • Ensure all equipment (AV, furniture, linen, etc.) is properly maintained and stored.
  • Assist in managing the movement and storage of furniture and event materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a hotel food and beverage outlet.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on one's own initiative.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Self-motivated and task-orientated.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
