Job Opportunity:
A leading medical device manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all stages of the product development process, from conceptual generation through commercialisation of cutting-edge medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to developing innovative products for use in minimally invasive therapeutic procedures.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to optimise design and safety of products by providing technical input.
  • Provide novel product design and development engineering support and input to research and development projects.
  • Design concepts and prototypes in advance of selecting the most promising solution.
  • Implement technologies to provide optimum design solutions.
  • Plan and track elements of product development, new product introductions, and technology transfers, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain product development and innovation processes and procedures incorporating industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in relevant products and processes.
  • Develop product and test specifications, perform engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Serve as a departmental technical resource in areas of expertise.
  • Proactively identify areas where process and product improvements can be made, develop predictive engineering tools, techniques, and approaches.


Requirements:
  • Degree level 8 in Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience with electrical medical device product development.
  • Ideal experience designing RF systems, including PCB design and RF simulation tools (COMSOL).
  • Provides creativity while solving complex problems without known solutions.
  • Works on multiple projects in deadline-driven environments.
  • Designs, runs, and gathers data for experiments, participates in the design of new test methods and procedures.
  • Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
  • Thinks critically and makes sound decisions.
  • Collaborates and creates alignment as a team member.
  • Experience and knowledge in designing, verifying, optimising processes within the organisation to guarantee compliance.
  • Experience with statistical techniques (DOE, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and design control systems desirable but not essential.
