Job Overview:

Civil Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and development of civil structural projects, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of civil structural projects, including preparing project briefs, user requirement specifications, and design packages. They will also oversee the preparation of calculations, Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, data sheets, specifications, scopes of work, tender enquiries, and other relevant documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of civil structural projects from concept to completion.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of project briefs, user requirement specifications, and design packages.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design packages, including calculations, Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, data sheets, specifications, scopes of work, tender enquiries, and other relevant documents.
  • Liaise with external consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure that all project requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress, including site audits, inspections, and any issues or concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and other project team members.
  • Participate in safety reviews and contribute to the development of risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Obtain and sign off on temporary and permanent works design certificates.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum degree in a relevant civil structural discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in construction on projects, preferably in life sciences or similar industries.
  • Excellent communication and general management skills required.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of industry QA standards, procedures, and processes.
