Job Role: Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

The role of the Shipping and Transport Coordinator involves daily processing of export and domestic shipping documentation, ensuring that stock is allocated to orders in a timely manner to meet shipping schedules. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external cold store movements, liaising with account managers and haulage agents on logistical matters, and providing telesales and customer support.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Process shipping documentation daily to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Allocate stock to orders based on shipping schedules and requirements
  • Liaise with planning schedulers and coordinators on stock and shipping timeline requirements
  • Manage internal and external cold store movements, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
  • Liaise with account managers and haulage agents to resolve logistical issues and negotiate rates
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support through telesales and other channels
  • Generate purchase orders and provide general administrative support as required
Requirements:
  • Fluent English language skills are essential for this role
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment using initiative and making quick decisions
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent phone skills, with ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with customs clearance procedures is advantageous, but not essential
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry
