Freight Logistics Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in manufacturing and logistics, with experience in freight activities or import/export operations.

  • This role supports freight planning activities, logistics coordination, and vendor PO follow up.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for month-end billing cycle support, coordinating PO requests, ensuring rate file effectiveness, archiving outdated commercial buy/sell rates, and following up with vendors for rate file updates.
  • In addition, the Freight Logistics Specialist will check queried vendor invoices, produce commercial KPIs, create PowerPoint slides for SLT/QBR, and support projects related to operational, productivity, cost improvement, and process optimization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in freight/logistics/import/export roles is required.
  • Candidates should also have experience working with suppliers and an understanding of the negotiation/procurement process.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, credible communication and negotiation abilities at all levels, and the capacity to identify, develop, and implement innovative ideas.
