We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments and treatments at clinics, analyzing voice patterns, and collaborating with service users and staff to introduce new ways of working and deliver training.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out assessments and treatments at clinics
- Analyzing voice patterns and examining factors involved in producing speech
- Collaborating with service users, family members, carers, and other staff in setting treatment plans
- Introducing and supporting new ways of working with staff teams to prevent future speech and language difficulties
- Delivering training to staff teams to help them support service users' recovery
- Referencing service users to other specialists when necessary
- Liaising with other professionals such as behaviour specialists, psychologists, doctors, and ear/nose/throat specialists
- Keeping detailed clinical notes and drafting reports on client symptoms, treatments, and progress
- Teaching exercises to help eliminate speech problems
- Qualification: Level 8 Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registered member of CORU
- Qualification in FEDS (Feeding Eating Drinking Swallowing) assessment, treatment, and care planning across populations
- Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, external contractors, and other key business relationships
