Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Director to lead our Mine Waste team, working on projects both domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver consulting services for mine waste projects, including design and inspection of storage facilities, construction of tailings deposits, stability and seepage analysis and closure design.
  • Provide technical leadership, project direction, business development, and client liaison.
  • Lead and input into the design and assessment of mine waste facilities, including tailings facilities, water storage facilities, waste rock dumps and integrated waste facilities.
  • Manage junior and intermediate staff and provide technical direction.
  • Participate in global corporate technical practice groups to enhance our technical expertise and visibility.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience of technical leadership, collaboration, and delivery.
  • Substantial and broad experience in mine waste and tailings.
  • Commitment to internal and external client service.
  • A proven track record in delivering large, multi-disciplinary projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with verbal and written communication skills.
  • Degree qualified within civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or engineering geology, with a strong emphasis on soil mechanics.
  • Mining and geotechnical experience relating to mine waste disposal/facilities.
  • The ability to interpret and monitor results and use various tools to monitor and design geotechnical structures.
  • Ability to manage and work effectively within a team environment.
