A permanent position for a Health & Safety Officer is available in Limerick. The role offers the chance to gain experience working on a landmark Civil Engineering project and become part of a large Health & Safety Team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting on safety performance and providing recommendations to management. They will also oversee and review site performance across several sites, conduct site inductions and toolbox talks, assist in compiling health and safety documentation, and actively participate in health-related risks and on-site training. Additionally, they will deliver HSE processes, procedures, standards, and systems, maintain inspection records, and preserve plant equipment records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in a related discipline and have at least 1+ years of health and safety experience.
