Operational Analyst – Capacity Funding & Delivery

We manage Ireland's electricity grid with world-leading levels of variable asynchronous renewable generation, ensuring power is available when needed.

Supporting the country's transition to a low-carbon future requires collaborative efforts across sectors.

The Operations & Asset Management Office brings together experts in engineering and commercial backgrounds to deliver a secure, reliable, and sustainable power system.

Our mission is clear: support Ireland's transition to 80% renewable electricity by 2030 and net zero by 2050.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use technical, report writing, and verbal communications skills to improve the way we work.
  • Support tool development for day-to-day Capacity Market operation and assessing technical qualification and auction outcomes.
  • Analyse and present data to identify important trends for the organisation, regulators, and auction participants.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing for new system releases and develop business processes for Capacity Market operations.

The Team:

The Capacity Funding & Delivery team manages auctions securing long-term capacity to keep the lights on and support Ireland's transition to a low-carbon future.

Administering auctions with integrity is a core mandate. Our environment is fun, fast-paced, and collaborative.

Successful candidates will have a third-level qualification in a relevant discipline, typically 2-4 years of relevant technical experience, excellent presentation skills, and strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
