Project Management Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to manage multiple concurrent technical development activities and drive delivery of key work against funding and business goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of project delivery, managing projects effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in life sciences, engineering, scientific project management, or equivalent technical field is essential. Direct experience managing grant-aided projects or collaborative research projects is also desirable.
The successful applicant must be comfortable working with uncertainty, enjoy solving problems collaboratively, and possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing cross-functional project teams and coordinating distributed planning activities.
- Project financial management & projection, working closely with the senior leadership team and finance team.
- Resource management across multiple work streams, projects, and external partners, along with resource reporting where required.
- Maintenance of the project level risk register and decision log.
- Coordinating joint activities with consortium partners as part of collaborative research projects.
- Management of plans, risk, and project costs in a structured and transparent manner.
- Challenging and developing working practices to continuously improve design & development effectiveness.
- Communicating and influencing across all levels, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or medical-related field; or equivalent level qualification.
- A sound understanding of fundamental project management techniques with at least 3 years project management in a medical device/scientific environment.
