Job Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for turning specifications and tender information into quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing electrical tenders: Timely submission of electrical tenders to clients, including preparation and submission of tender documents.
  • Site visits and client briefings: Attending site visits and client briefings to review tenders and handovers.
  • Collaboration with colleagues: Working closely with clients and other colleagues to review tenders and handovers.
  • Finalizing tender bids: Finalization of all tender bids and attendance at pre-order meetings to secure contracts and hand over to Project Managers.
  • Liaising with customers: Liaising with customers to review, interpret, and understand customer electrical specifications/requirements.
  • Maintaining electrical specification confirmations: Maintaining electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying and costing upcharges and requesting concessions.
  • Developing key relationships: Developing key relationships with supply chain and with customers/specifies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer performing an Estimator role.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge in this type of work.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, mathematical and general IT skills.
  • Accuracy and independence: Accurate & able to work alone.
  • Pressure handling: Experience of working under pressure.
  • Proven track record: A proven track record.
  • Industry experience: Experience required as an Electrical estimator in the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Power Generation, Oil & Gas industry preferable.
  • Travel: Travel between Ireland and UK will be an essential part of the role.
