Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a home care worker. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who require support and care in their own homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to clients with varying needs, including those with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, individuals with palliative care needs, or those living with chronic illnesses or addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress, and any concerns raised.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
Requirements
  1. Fully qualified in healthcare and possessing a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar caring role.
  2. Able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required by clients.
  3. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  4. Demonstrate a kind, caring, and empathetic approach when interacting with clients and their families.
  5. Hold a full, clean driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Modules: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
  • Satisfactory Garda Vetting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training to enhance your knowledge and skills.
