Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Role
Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic allied health team. The successful applicant will partner with people with disability and their families/stakeholders to enable them to live the life they choose.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
- Develop and implement individualised, person-centred positive behaviour support plans that promote independence and community inclusion.
- Provide services to clients that teach and encourage appropriate behaviours, reducing the need for restrictive practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to upskill others in the person's life, promoting a culture of positive support.
- Provisional registration as a BSP is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience working with people with a disability in the context of positive behaviour support.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient and empathetic approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a positive difference in people's lives.
