Job Title:

Person in Charge Adult Autism Accredited Service

This role is responsible for the overall management of a disability service. The successful candidate will be required to provide leadership and management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional quality person-centred care to residents. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and implementing policies and procedures that support best practice in care delivery.

About The Role

The Person in Charge will be responsible for managing a team of staff, providing mentorship and leadership, as well as coordinating and prioritising appointments in liaison with multi-disciplinary teams. They will also be responsible for ensuring a high quality of life for residents through person centred care plans, health promotion, reviews and personal risk assessments. Additionally, they will enable and support residents to have choice and control in their lives, develop citizenship, maintain relationships with family and friends, and access advocates and other professional supports as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management skills to ensure the delivery of exceptional quality person-centred care to residents.
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and implement policies and procedures that support best practice in care delivery.
  • Manage a team of staff, providing mentorship and leadership.
  • Coordinate and prioritise appointments in liaison with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure a high quality of life for residents through person centred care plans, health promotion, reviews and personal risk assessments.
Requirements
  • QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum three years experience in a management or supervisory role in the Health or Social Care sector.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
