We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team in Belfast City Centre.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing supplier and customer invoices within a team, performing monthly bank reconciliations, processing purchases ledger invoices and matching delivery notes and POs, reconciling supplier statements, paying payroll, assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and credit card statements, managing credit control, and completing VAT returns.

Responsibilities
  • Process supplier and customer invoices within a team
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Process purchases ledger invoices and match delivery notes and POs
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Pay payroll
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and credit card statements
  • Manage credit control
  • Complete VAT returns

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be comfortable working with financial and administrative systems, and possess demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of an extension. After 6 months, the opportunity to work from home one day a week may be available.
