As an engineer on our infrastructure team, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining the foundation of our services. Our goal is to create a scalable and reliable system that can handle hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of the Linux operating system, including standard software, services, and networking protocols. You should be able to design, author, and deploy code in languages like Python and Go.

Key Requirements
  • Depth of understanding: We need someone with a deep knowledge of Linux fundamentals, including core OS services, system partitioning, networking, package management, and system observability.
  • Collaboration and ownership: You'll work closely with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our services. This requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as a sense of ownership and integrity.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in languages like Python and Go, as well as experience with software development or production operations in a large-scale environment.
Favorable Qualifications
  • Automation expertise: Experience automating configuration of a diverse Linux fleet using tools like Puppet would be a significant advantage.
  • Distributed systems management: You should have extensive experience managing and scaling resilient distributed systems on bare metal or private clouds.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Strong capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues for root cause discovery.
  • SRE mindset: Familiarity with managed deployment methodologies, error budgets, scale testing, and disaster recovery is a plus.
  • Microservices architecture: Knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes would be beneficial.
About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on our services' reliability and scalability. If you're passionate about infrastructure engineering and have the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.
