About the Role

We're seeking a Support Engineering Lead to join our team, taking ownership of our edge platform and its global deployment footprint. This is a hands-on role focused on system reliability, hardware support, and network configuration. You'll build systems and processes that keep our edge infrastructure secure, performant, and always connected, from local devices to the cloud.

You'll work closely with engineering and implementation teams to ensure our systems run smoothly in complex customer environments. Whether it's implementing a greengrass component or tuning iptables firewall rules, you'll be at the heart of making our safety systems dependable at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Take ownership of our Linux-based edge platform and its global deployment footprint.
  2. Build systems and processes that keep our edge infrastructure secure, performant, and always connected.
  3. Work closely with engineering and implementation teams to ensure our systems run smoothly in complex customer environments.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of professional experience in systems, embedded, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep expertise with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Strong background in Python, Bash scripting, and system automation.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting networking stacks and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, low-level debugging, or hardware integration.
  • Ability to triage and resolve complex system issues in production environments.
  • Excellent debugging and performance-tuning skills across hardware and OS layers.
  • Ability to influence technical direction, mentor peers, and drive execution.
  • Strong documentation and process-building skills to support scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining edge or IoT devices in industrial environments.
  • Previous experience in a support or sysadmin role in a corporate setting.
Why Join Us

You'll work on cutting-edge problems with a mission-driven team. You'll have ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on workplace safety around the world.
