Cooperative Placement Overview

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify Supply Planning projects. You will work closely with your team leader and college supervisor to define project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones, and evaluation criteria.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing best-in-class sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and commodities in support of business objectives.
  • Supporting the implementation of supplier and/or commodity strategy, including spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make v's buy analyses.
  • Representing the 'voice of the supplier' within the organization.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders on contract strategy for suppliers and creating, negotiating, monitoring, and enforcing contracts when applicable.
  • Developing strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the business.
  • Participating in new product launches; leading supplier selection, requests for quotes, and ensuring suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful launch.

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, BIS, or related courses for the duration of the placement. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast, and results-oriented environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic level of PC skills.
  • Team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
