Job Summary

We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join our team

To achieve success in this role, you will be responsible for implementing and upholding health and safety standards across all construction activities.

Your primary goal will be to promote best practices, ensure compliance with statutory obligations and industry standards, and verify that subcontractors meet health and safety prequalification standards before work commencement.

You will review and approve detailed methodologies, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements, for all construction activities.

Apart from verifying adequate induction and task-specific training is completed for all site personnel, you will also review statutory plant and equipment training records to ensure compliance.

In addition to conducting weekly Toolbox Talks, you will guide the use of Safe Plans of Action (SPAs) by project personnel and develop and adhere to Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans.

This position requires a strong focus on coordination and oversight, facilitating pre-commencement coordination meetings and participating in daily site White Board and coordination meetings.

Promoting Ardmac's commitment to safety through meaningful engagement, including Safety First conversations, is another key aspect of this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital health and safety management tools
