
Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Position Available

This position is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering advanced musculoskeletal and orthopaedic care, driving service development, and contributing to clinical leadership in a patient-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical & Professional:
- Coordinate and deliver an effective and efficient Pectus Physiotherapy Service based on patient needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments, technology, and best practice in physiotherapy.
- Contribute to clinical audits, research, and ongoing professional development.
- Management & Service Development:
- Actively contribute to the management and development of the physiotherapy service.
- Participate in induction, appraisal, education, and in-service training programmes.
- Maintain accurate records and service statistics.
- Regularly review and update service policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Support quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
- Leadership & Staff Development:
- Lead by example in professionalism, dedication, and teamwork.
- Promote ongoing learning and professional development within the team.
- Provide intra-disciplinary education to promote physiotherapy services.
- Degree in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with CORU is essential.
- Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in Orthopaedic or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
- Postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal practice, or related specialism is desirable.
- Expert clinical knowledge and reasoning in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy.
- Strong ability to deliver patient-centred care within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in service planning, policy development, and research.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (Strength & Conditioning training).
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to balance clinical and management responsibilities.
- Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to service needs.
- Strong commitment to patient care, quality, and professional standards.
- Demonstrates initiative, innovation, and forward-thinking in clinical practice.
