Job Opportunity

A dynamic MEP Pre-Construction Manager with an electrical bias is required to join our growing international team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the early project lifecycle, ensuring MEP designs are efficiently scoped, coordinated, and value-engineered to meet project timelines and client expectations across Ireland and the EU.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the MEP pre-construction phase for data centre, life sciences, and commercial projects.
  • Review and influence MEP design development, ensuring constructability, cost-efficiency, and programme alignment.
  • Collaborate with internal design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to define MEP scopes, strategies, and budgets.
  • Conduct technical reviews of electrical systems and ensure compliance with international and local standards.
  • Develop and present MEP design concepts, technical proposals, and value engineering solutions to stakeholders.
  • Work with estimation and procurement teams to produce accurate MEP cost plans and tender documentation.
  • Assess contractor and supplier capabilities during tender evaluation and prequalification processes.
  • Support in developing construction methodologies, logistics plans, and commissioning strategies.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and design workshops throughout Ireland and across Europe.
  • Ensure alignment of MEP preconstruction deliverables with overall project programme and risk profile.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar MEP pre-construction or design management role, with strong electrical experience.
  • Proven track record working on complex, large-scale projects (e.g., data centres, pharma, commercial).
  • Strong knowledge of EU building regulations, codes, and best practices.
  • Excellent coordination, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously across various geographies.
  • Willingness to travel within Ireland and across Europe as project needs dictate.
  • Experience working on mission-critical or fast-track construction projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital design tools.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Multilingual capabilities (advantageous but not essential).
