We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Deli Assistant. This position is ideal for those who possess excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality in preparing and presenting hot and cold deli items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. They will also be required to set up and maintain the deli counter, ensuring it remains clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.

 

In addition to these tasks, the Deli Assistant will be expected to serve customers efficiently and with a friendly, professional manner. They will handle individual customer requests with a positive attitude and aim to exceed expectations.

 

The ideal candidate will have good people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A good level of spoken English is essential, as is the ability to follow food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain high standards of quality by preparing and presenting hot and cold deli items, sandwiches, salads, and snacks
  • Set up and maintain the deli counter, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing
  • Serve customers efficiently and with a friendly, professional manner
  • Handle individual customer requests with a positive attitude and aim to exceed expectations
  • Follow food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety guidelines

 

Requirements:

  • Positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good people skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Good level of spoken English
  • Previous experience in a deli, catering, or customer service role would be an advantage but is not essential
