
Automotive Technician Specialist

Job Description:
As a skilled and certified technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on a range of Ford and SEAT products. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Diagnose and repair faults on Ford and SEAT vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure excellent customer service by meeting with customers to identify and clearly understand problems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology introduced on vehicle ranges and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.
- Check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out.
- Maintain workshop housekeeping standards at all times including the use of special and personal tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Be qualified, holding relevant certification such as an NVQ or City & Guilds qualification.
- Have extensive knowledge of Ford and SEAT brands.
- Be competent in the use of diagnostic equipment and have experience working with complex systems.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be computer literate and have experience working with Kerridge/CDK software.
- Hold a full driving licence with zero penalty points.
