Automotive Operations Manager

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Operations Manager to oversee our busy workshop. This key role is responsible for leading a team of technicians in delivering top-quality vehicle servicing and repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day activity in the workshop, ensuring seamless coordination with the Service Advisor
  • Supervise job allocation and workflow management, prioritizing efficiency and productivity
  • Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing as needed, leveraging strong technical skills
  • Process warranty claims in a timely and compliant manner, maintaining excellent relationships with customers and manufacturers
  • Oversee health, safety, and quality standards across all work, upholding exceptional service levels
  • Mentor and support technicians and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with the service advisor and management team, driving business growth and success
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturer and dealership standards, maintaining accurate service records and compliance documentation
Requirements:
  • Highly qualified Vehicle Technician with extensive experience in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience, with a track record of inspiring teams to achieve excellence
  • Exceptional diagnostic and mechanical skills across a wide range of vehicles, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands
  • Full driving licence, enabling travel to various locations as required
  • Able to multitask and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude and passion for delivering outstanding customer service
