Job Title: Producer with a Live Broadcast Expertise

Virgin Media Television is seeking a dynamic and experienced Producer for our flagship current affairs programme, The Tonight Show. We are looking for a highly skilled individual who can take charge of outputting live studio broadcasts, booking guests, generating ideas for content, developing relationships with the presenter, guests, agencies and political parties, identifying new talent, and understanding the dynamics of panel discussions.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in current affairs in television/radio, thorough knowledge of the Irish political landscape, as well as a strong command of national and international social, cultural, business, and economic affairs. They must be able to generate fresh ideas, think innovatively, and approach challenges with a proactive mindset.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in current affairs in television/radio;
  • Thorough knowledge of the Irish political landscape;
  • A strong contacts book;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of a busy team and meet deadlines;
  • Exceptional organisation skills;
