Producer Position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced producer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the creation of high-quality, engaging content in a live broadcast environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in current affairs television or radio, with a strong knowledge of the Irish political landscape and national/international social, cultural, business and economic affairs. They will be able to work under pressure as part of a busy team, meet deadlines, and adapt to trends.

A key responsibility of this role will be generating ideas for topics and guests, booking contributors for panel discussions and one-on-one interviews, and working within a team to prepare and manage high-quality journalistic programming. The successful candidate will also have exceptional organisation skills, knowledge of digital news production, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a dynamic leader with a track record of delivering high-quality, engaging content in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to make quick decisions, balance creative decisions with revenue-generating opportunities, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

  1. Generate innovative ideas for topics and guests.
  2. Book contributors for panel discussions and one-on-one interviews.
  3. Work collaboratively with producers and researchers to prepare and manage high-quality journalistic programming.
  4. Develop relationships with presenters, guests, agencies, and political parties.
