Job Opportunity

The Cybersecurity Operations (CSOC) Defender position is a challenging role that requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with experienced information security professionals, utilizing cutting-edge tool sets, and serve clients across various industry verticals.

This role involves daily, 24x7, operations of the CyberSOC, including:

  • Real-time threat detection and response using advanced security monitoring technologies
  • Investigating and triaging alerts, conducting threat hunts and Indicator of Compromise sweeps
  • Utilizing Security Information Event Management tools, Endpoint Detection & Response tools, User Behavior Analysis, Security Orchestration, Automation and Response, Antivirus, and Ticketing systems

Responsibilities also include:

  • Analyzing cyber threat intelligence and participating in purple team exercises
  • Documenting processes and procedures used during investigations
  • Communicating with client contacts and inbound requests for client support
  • Attending training and conferences to level up skills and knowledge

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • 1-3 years' professional experience in IT industry or Network engineering
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • A demonstrated passion for technology
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and function well with independent responsibilities
  • Experience or coursework around incident investigation and forensics, information security and computer networking
  • Interest in taking the initiative for personal growth and development
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs and willingness to work extended hours when needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject matter
  • Willingness to travel and knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanour
  • Excellent customer service ethos
