Financial Services Manager Role

The position of Financial Services Manager is available to highly skilled and experienced professionals. The selected candidate will join our Global Financial Solutions department in Cork as a key member, responsible for the General Ledger accounting and serving as the primary Relationship Manager for one or more entities within the finance function.

This senior-level role requires a strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contributing to service standards definition and continuous partnership agreement management.
  • Review and post month-end close and accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner, analyzing P&L and balance sheet account reconciliations, resolutions, and reviews.
Requirements:
  • A professional accounting qualification from a recognized body (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is mandatory, with a preference for training in a practice environment.
  • Typically, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience, is required.
  • Experience operating in a Shared Service environment is advantageous, as well as familiarity with the biotech/pharmaceuticals industry.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAP or equivalent software is essential, along with expertise in Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work across multiple functions and cultures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to establish credibility and influence diverse audiences.
