Job Opportunity: Material Program Leader

The role of the Material Program Leader plays a key part in driving team performance, material programs, and revenue growth within a global organisation.

  • This exciting opportunity requires strong leadership skills, proven experience in part sales and purchasing, and the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.

The successful candidate will ideally have a third-level qualification in Business, Management, or related discipline, along with strong knowledge of the MRO sector, and minimum 5 years experience in a material trading role.

  • A high level of entrepreneurial spirit is essential, as is the flexibility to travel and attend trade shows.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to handle escalations with professionalism and tact.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, support, and motivate the USM materials team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Report program performance to the Commercial Manager.
  • Manage purchasing, sales, and stock of materials effectively.
  • Identify and support new product opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance material programs and drive growth.
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders (Quality, Finance, Operations) and global teams (Sales & Fulfilment).
  • Stay up to date on industry trends to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Roll out materials program strategies to optimise growth and business performance.

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with a passion for leadership and team management. They will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong analytical ability and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
