Job Description

We are seeking a HR Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support in respect of Human Resources to management and staff within the Services.

The HR Officer role is responsible for advising Managers on best practice in HR-related issues, HR reporting, HR administration, day-to-day HR queries and projects/initiatives for the HR Department.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant HR-related third level professional qualification and/or membership of CIPD. Relevant experience in the public service/healthcare service is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support in respect of Human Resources to management and staff within the Services.
  • Advise Managers on best practice in HR-related issues, HR reporting, HR administration, day-to-day HR queries and projects/initiatives for the HR Department.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant HR-related third level professional qualification and/or membership of CIPD.
  • Relevant experience in the public service/healthcare service is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of five years' relevant HR experience in a multi-team environment.
  • Extensive experience in recruitment, selection and retention.
  • Experience of absence management with a proven track record.
  • Good leadership, strategic thinking, teamwork, communication, strong ICT and organisational skills.

Working Conditions

The appointee must provide their own car and furnish an indemnity from insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid for duty-related travel.

Reporting

Reporting to the HR Manager or designate as appropriate.
