Cloud Migration Specialist

The role of Cloud Migration Specialist is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to enhance their technical skills. As a key member of our team, you will be at the forefront of delivering cloud migrations to global clients.

About the Role:
  • You will provide hands-on delivery of InsuranceSuite Technical Upgrade and Database Upgrade services to customers undergoing cloud migrations.
  • Contribute to the development and innovation of automation tools to streamline the upgrade process, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support and actively drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project team.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional Experience: 2-5 years of practical industry experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP), preferably Java, relational database management systems (including data modeling and SQL proficiency), web user interface design and development, and XML.
  • Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts is an advantage, with a willingness to engage with these technologies.
  • Version Control Proficiency: Expertise in managing code conflicts using tools like Git, including the ability to analyze 3-way merge conflicts and making informed decisions to resolve them.
  • Consulting Acumen: Demonstrated strong consulting skills, including effective problem solving, customer communication and contribution to knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Technical Essentials: Required experience in Java and Git.
  • Desired Experience: Experience with JSON, RESTful APIs, IntelliJ, SQL, Python, and Gradle is preferred.
  • Collaboration and Autonomy: Ability to function both as an effective team member and individual contributor.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
